TiVo and Chromecast

I essentially only watch programs that I have recorded on TiVo with season passes. I'd like to drop my cable TV subscription, keep my Internet connection, and buy a Chromecast gizmo. Will TiVo still find my season pass shows through Chromecast?

There is no streaming device, including Chromecast, that interacts with Tivo in any way. Once you drop cable, there is no reason to keep your Tivo unless you get an antenna and limit yourself to the channels you can get over the air. To cut the cord and still get cable TV content, you have to get a streaming service like Youtube TV, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, Philo, Fubo, etc. All of those include a cloud DVR, so no Tivo would be involved.

No. Tivo does not record anything except for over the air shows if you have an antenna, and cable programs if you have a cable card and cable service. You can, of course view other streaming services via the Tivo interface and internet connection, but not all are supported. Recording those won't happen. But, I find other streaming services work better via my Roku.
