She's baaaaaack....

Wow, I was pretty shocked to see Aunt Lydia alive and well... Well, maybe "well" is not the appropriate word to use, but she is alive anyway... Interesting how she played the "caring" aunt role in the living room, and then gives her the million volt zap on the staircase and told her she should be hanging on the wall for her actions... I love the character, and the actress... Let me rephrase...she's the character/actress that I love to hate...

Man, Commander Joseph is pretty accurate about June. She is really acting like a spoiled kid who doesn't know her limits. Now, of course, I am talking about this in the context of this show. Given the circumstances, she is really testing the limits of what Commander Joseph is willing to put up with. She should have eased into this a little slower to gain his trust, instead of assuming she had it already. I started watching the West Wing after I watched Season 1 of The Handmaid's Tale, so I wasn't familiar with Bradley Whitford (the actor). Now in season 2, I can't stop seeing Josh Lyman under that beard!!! LOL...

I love, love, love the interaction between June and her new walking partner. I love when her walking partner criticized the actions of "OffOf-Joseph", and June was like "I am OffOf-Joseph"!!! LOL!!! And I also love when June mentioned the terrible accident of another handmaiden who died because her walking partner pushed her in front of a bus...and then a bus zooms by!!!

I loved Commander Lawrence's response to that. He just nonchalantly walks by and says, "I wonder how many volts those things have."

Bradley Whitford nails every role. I first saw him in "studio 60" and his arc in transparent was good as well.

My take on Commander Lawrence after these 3 episodes is someone who excels in chaos and needs constant opposition (like arguing with June). He lets the Martha's run their rebellion out of his home is fun for him watching them squirm, knowing he's safe since his home is their sanctuary. He commits the random act of kindness every now and then to please his wife whole is his only love. I think these traits make him hard to peg down what his goals are for everyone. I think he's someone who just loves playing people. His books may have been him just trolling people but this fanatic group ate it up and know he's enjoying the power is gotten him.

I'm still way behind and had to watch this ep in bits and pieces and probably won't have time to go back to re-watch for details I missed.

Who were they moving again? Chemist/bomb maker? Did she make it? Was the person w/the expired pass anyone significant? Who was the woman who came for help and died? Was she significant?
