Samoa and Fiji for the early seasons then they stayed in Australia during the Covid seasons and have returned to Samoa for the last few and current seasons.

The auction in episode 5 was bizarre. Why on earth was hardly anyone bidding? Did they want to keep the $500? It made no sense. A big plate of tasty sandwiches goes for $40? Several of them didn't bid on anything. I don't get their reasoning at all.

I had posted a "> Unmarked spoilers for Episodes 1, 2, and 3 are okay after this point <" post awhile back. Since then nobody has really posted spoilers or added another similar post to include more episodes. I'm guessing this way of marking them didn't really work the way I was thinking it might.

I think the old school way of doing the auction causes people to hold their money because they want to wait and see if there will be an advantage offered up. If you don't have your full money you will always be outbid on an advantage. So it causes people to just hold their money.

I've always been a fan of the auction. I wish the US version would bring it back more often.

I liked the idea of having to go to rocks in an auction tie. If I am remembering correctly in the past the person who bid the highest first won. You couldn't bid the same.

Lisa. I didn't see her season but how the heck did she win? She has to be one of the worst players I've ever seen. She has this weird fan-girl over Cirie, and her strategy is to 'wait until tomorrow to see who comes up to me with an offer".

Parvati. Tearing up that advantage probably sealed her fate. There was no upside for her that I can tell. That was an odd move from such a strategic player. Of course if she wins then it was a baller move. lol

Without spoiling for those who haven't seen the whole thing yet, holy crap! That season was bonkers! Some of the most entertaining episodes of Survivor I've seen. So glad I finally decided to give it a go. So fun!
