New program for 1 step TTG downloads, decryption, encoding - kmttg

Recent issue:

Some kmttg (v2.7-l) downloads are failing because: Unable to determine duration using mediainfo from file. Until I changed the kmttg configuration to not delete failed files, these file were, of course, deleted.

This seems to happen with regularity with shows downloaded from the CW. The downloaded files are, in fact, fine. Their length is good and they play.

I tried using the mediainfo cli direct from a command line (bypassing kmttg) and it worked fine.

The exact file name is:

Superman and Lois - The Dress (Recorded May 23,2023,KRCWDT).TiVo

I tried updating mediainfo cli to the latest version.

Anybody else seeing this, or have any suggestions?

I asked on the mediainfo forum, and the reply indicated that no output from mediainfo is usually indicative of a wrongly specified filename. Possibly a problem with kmttg handing off the filename?

I've had a similar problem. Also when checking the target folder the file is present, full length and plays.
Because of that I really never gave thought as to what or why...

A bigger problem I'm encountering is ALL files extracted with kmttg from my Edge do not play well.
There is pixilation and sound stuttering. Running them through QX fix does not improve the play quality.
The interesting thing is if I transfer the files to my XL4 from Edge, then extract them to the PC the file plays fine....
If anyone that reads this has a clue as to what/why this happens. I'm all ears.

Greetings have been happily using kmttg for years , within the past week when I run search I get the following error message, in blue "Domain token expired refreshing token" then followed in Red by "Failed to get Domain Token. Check your Tivo.com username or password".

Seems to continue to tunction correctly, any suggestions ?.. Thanks

go to pg 661 and look at the bottom of post # #13,204 for the latest ver of kmttg.

That message saying go to the bottom of post 13204 wouldn't work in at least one of my browsers, where the "more" button didn't work properly. And I would think that the better link for the lastest version(s) is this:

Greetings - I've have been happily using kmttg for years. Recently, however, I'm unable to transfer files to my PC. The transfers fail, or if they happen, the file is corrupt. (The audio and video are not in sync.) I've tried downloading the file via browser, with the same result. I also tried Tivo Desktop, with similar results.

I'm uncertain what the problem is. Perhaps my router? Can I bypass it and connect my Tivo directly to my PC?

You could try QSFix. Don't forget to decrypt and remove the Tivo encryption layer. Then it can be played any where.

What version of kmttg are you using?
What tivo are you transferring from? (i have the same problem with files transferred from tivo edge to pc using kmttg v2.7I)

Is this error from the Tivo? You would need to restart it.

I have some good news and bad news. As some of you know the current mind cert expires on 5/3/2024. Tivo just released a new version of the android app and it has a new cert file. The bad news is the latest version of the app requires android 8 or newer and my rooted phone I use to extract the cert can only run up to android 7. I have a older nexus 5 I might be able to get to work but it likes to randomly reboot. If anyone else has a more recent rooted android phone and has used frida I would be happy to share my script in a pm.

edit: I forgot how bad my old nexus 5 likes to reboot there's no way I can flash a new rom on it.

edit2: looks like there might be an android 11 rom for the lg g4
