I am on episode 8 and I must say I am LOVING this season!

"Freaky Tuesday" was a lot of fun. Betty Gilpin did a great Zoya!

Any show with a Passover Seder is ok by me. And it led to a truly touching moment. I teared up a little bit.

Loved that episode 7 was directed by Alison Brie-great job! Poor Sam-he can't help himself (literally)

Love "Tex" (aka JJ) - loved him in "Halt and Catch Fire" and he's terrific here too.

Oh, and I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove Bash-well, he's a bit of a d*ck, but I love the actor-I am pretty sure I posted this before but I am still salty that

they killed his character off of "Private Practice!

So is anyone else watching? Thoughts?

O-M-GOSH! Just watched "The Libertines" and WOW!

When Rhonda and Bash had the "Devil's Triangle" with the male prostitute (don't remember his name) that was sooooooooooooo hot! When Bash FINALLY gave in to his (IMHO) true self and kissed that hot man, I was SCREAMING, "YESSSSS!!!!" I hope he finds his true self-I mean, yes, Rhonda will be hurt, but better to find out now. Yes, I know these aren't real people, but I am invested! :p

And Bobby Barnes-oh, my heart breaks for him-he puts on this extravagant showcase every year and they raised all that money for AIDS and then some ******* sets the place on fire and paints unspeakable graffiti outside.:mad::mad:

Just finished the season last night. Very good, really enjoyed it. I didn't like the final scene between Ruth and Debbie. Ruth was kind of a dick. Why would Ruth crap on Debbie's plan and turn down that opportunity? She should have taken the opportunity to get involved in running the station, directing shows, and she still could have tried to get her acting career off the ground. In fact, she could have cast herself in something she was directing. Seemed really shortsighted by a character who is usually pretty smart.

I was soooo glad when Shiela threw her nasty fur outfit and wig into the fire. That was so disgusting. Plus it was nice to see her character growing and coming out from behind the wall she had built.

I agree that Ruth should have used the TV station/director as an opportunity. Wouldn't it be better for a would be actor to be in LA and on TV then in Vegas or wherever not being seen?

I think Debbie was the dick though. She crapped on Ruth's dream. She pretty much said you are never going to be an actor so should be thrilled I am giving you a good job. She was already hurt that Sam and Justine didn't give her the role in Justine's movie.

Debbie was sort of dismissed by Tex when she mentioned being his business partner and he dismissed her. She was pissed and off at him and saw an opportunity to further her career. She was banking on Ruth and Carmen helping her with the TV station/wrestling show. Both decided to follow their dreams. Even though I do agree with you Ruth probably would have been better off doing the director thing in LA while still looking for a 'serious' acting role. Perhaps Carmen will have some guest appearances still and bring some legitimacy to Glow's wresting show.

Wish there was a touch more wrestling this season but maybe next if there is a next.

The low point this season was "Outward Bound"; could they have picked a worse location? We've seen Vasquez Rocks in "Star Trek", "Bill & Ted Go To Hell", "The Big Bang Theory" and more others than I can count. It's in California, nobody drives from Vegas to California to go camping unless they're going to Tahoe. Every time they showed the rocks it took me completely out of the show.

For me, the high point was of course "Desert Pollen". I'm convinced Alison Brie requires a nude scene every season to compensate for being made up old.

I laughed at all the skeptical mentions of pollen in the desert. It's definitely a thing. Frankly, I'd never heard of anyone complaining about pollen counts until I moved to Arizona when I was 25. Now I hear about it all the time and they always talk about it on the weather reports when the pollen counts are high.

I'm about 6-7 episodes in (last one I finished was the one where they camped out in the desert). I'm not really enjoying it as much as the other seasons. Just kind of blah stories. But I seem to be in the minority. Was something in their contracts this year where they each had to do a nude scene? Not that I'm complaining but I don't remember nudity in the other seasons.

I loved the homage to All That Jazz in the scene where Tammé is taking her pills and drinking her wine, Vivaldi's Concert in G playing in the background; then at the end she says "Showtime!"

Also from some of the posts here it looks like I either fell asleep at the end or missed an entire episode.

It doesn't surprise me. Trying to film a show about wrestling, where they have to get seriously up close and personal is going to be difficult. They would need to write all the episodes ahead of time and have them ready to minimize shooting time and risk, and it could be that they didn't have enough time left in the contract to execute it.

It's just an excuse for Netflix to change their mind and cancel it. They don't give out a lot of fourth seasons and this almost certainly was not a show that drove subscriber numbers.

There's also this, for what it's worth:

They paid out the full contracts to everyone. If they were just trying to save money, they didn't have to do that.

I looked at that list. Most of those, I've never seen or heard of. I think they scatter shot shows just to see what sticks. I was sad that I am not okay with this didn't get renewed. It had an interesting premise. GLOW only had so long it could go. The reality is that the actual GLOW wrestling circuit only lasted a couple of years in Vegas. The show had a limited life.

I watched Sabrina. It was interestingly dark in comparison to the original. I think the fact that they have been breaking up the seasons in 2 parts each has damaged the viewership in some ways. They've spread them out far enough that the viewers aren't as attached to the characters as they could be.

Two of the shows canceled were 5 and 6 seasons long. That's pretty normal for network shows, so I wouldn't read anything into those cancellations. Many shows are cancelled after one season, and that's almost all of the shows on that list.

Yeah, there are a lot of female lead shows out there. If they aren't getting watched, they aren't getting enough visibility or the writing sucks. Teenage Bounty Hunters sounded like a completely stupid premise. Maybe the writing would appeal to an adult audience, but I didn't even watch a trailer for it.
