I have a Samsung SIR-S4120R DirecTV Tivo new hard drive 120gig and instantcake install 2 weeks ago. All was fine then slowly the remote control became sluggish now to a point where it take minimum 5 sec for a command to take - some times not at all. I have 2 brand new remotes both the same problem. The front panel controls respond quickily without any delay. Occasionally I can get a flow of commands (guide and scroll down) then to sudden come to a screaching halt. Help !! Seams to be some kind of sofware bog with the IR receiver. What gives..???

I have a 1 Brand New DTV Remote and and older one. New Batteries. Same problem on both Seams like it could be interference but I've disconnected and removed all remotes from the room including the 5.8 gHz Phone. This seeamed to slowly develop over the last 3 weeks after putting the Samsung on line. I had a sony T60 before that and never had a problem but that unit fried and the samsung was newer so I put that it its place
