Play a recording and press Select-Play-Select-3-0-Select

 

What you encounter is called the 30 second scan and the other is called 30 second skip.

With Premiere and above, you can turn on or off in Live TV or a Recording, but in Live TV, make sure there are no on-screen Tivo dialog, Press Select-Select-Play-Select-3-0-Select-Clear. The 1st Select would bring upbypass the quick guide, and the Clear would prevent the Tivo from changing to channel 30.

I just tried and I can repeat it. If I am on the skip that shows the frames, your code does nothing on my OTA. However if I use the other code which does change it to the instant skip, your code gets rid of the time and counter and keeps the fast skip.

Edit. I see you changed the code from 9 to 3 0 that is why it now works, got it. Thanks.

 

I have corrected the code, S-S-P-30-S-C... the beginning S and the ending C is optional and would work better on Live TV.

 

It works like a charm. Awesome! My faith in humanity restored.

Also.. You'll likely get SKIP mode on some of your recordings, which is even better!! Just channel up (or D IIRC) and instantly skip over the commercial break entirely.. for the shows it's enabled on.
