Work it (full season thread, since it probably won't last long)

Ok,

I had to watch it to see how bad it could be.

And while it was pretty bad, it did have a few moments that made me laugh. One was when Angel said he wasn't sure if his ace bandage (that was holding his junk back) was going to hold when he met the beautiful boss.

I was surprised that they didn't overdo the laughs. I was expecting it to be laugh-track-city, but it was pretty tame. Ok, that could be because no one was laughing in the audience. lol

I am going to stick with it for a few episodes to see where it goes. I don't have any conflicts during that timeslot, so I figure why not.

I couldn't even make it through the commercials for this one. I'm having fun reading the practically-universal hatred it's getting from critics and viewers alike, though. Easily one of the worst ideas that's actually made it to air in a long time. You have to wonder what these execs are thinking, especially considering how much thought goes into the process and how many people have to sign off.
I set a season pass for it, because I set season passes for all new shows.

My husband saw a preview for it and said.... "uh, dear.... HE!! NO, I'm not watching it, looks completely stupid" I might have to check it out when he's not around. But, the preview for it looked really bad. It'll be hard for me to give it a try.
Actually it wasn't near as horrible as I thought it would be. I'm not saying I'll keep watching it though, it's really not my kind of comedy.
2.0 / 5 share in the demo.

Not bad, but not great either. And that will almost certainly plummet, after the people leave who just watched the first episode to see the train wreck, and after new episodes of existing shows return.
I think as a St. Louisian I'm a bit offended that they set this misogynistic piece of crap in my town. What is Hollywood trying to say?
I didn't see anything misogynistic about it. Low-brow, yes. Offensive, no.

The whole concept of the show is misogynistic. Unqualified women are getting all the good jobs just cause they are women. A man dresses up like a woman, walks right into the interview and immediately proves how superior he is to all those duncey female candidates.

The women in the office are shallow and catty. And I'm sure these dudes will be tops in the office.
I need to watch this show. IGN's tv section gave the first episode a zero out of ten. :)

I think something that awful needs to be seen. :D

The irony is they just released recent statistics showing men are getting hired at almost twice the rate of women and into womens professions as well.
I agree with others that it wasn't as bad as I expected. In fact I found it better than many other new shows. But I'm not getting attached, as I fully expect it not to last.
I wasn't planning to watch it, but most shows were reruns so I gave it a shot and was surprised that it was better than I thought it would be.

I guess I was under-analyzing.

Week 2: 1.5 / 4 share in the demo.

Not as drastic a drop as I expected, but still falling fast.

If it makes it to week 3, I'll predict a 1.3 / 3 share.

I was actually kind of offended by that as well. Yeah, in the midwest, we're that's stupid.

But it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (which was absolutely terrible.)
Leno had the following headline joke on his show:

"Work It" Named Worst Show Ever: NBC Makes a Bid To Buy It

You are using the wrong word. Misogynistic refers to hatred of women.

The word you want is sexist/sexism. Discriminating and stereotyping based on gender.

Hard to believe, but a person can be discriminated against without being hated.
