Wishlist Question

This is going to sound strange, I know, but is there anyway to setup a wishlist that will grab Married With Children, Family Guy, American Dad, and The Simpsons? Or is there SOME way to get the Tivo to grab all 4 shows but keep them in the same folder? Or maybe some way to merge folders? lol

Yes you can do it.

Create Wish List > Title Key Word >

First title key word- The Simpsons >Save and add another
Next title key word- Family Guy > Save and add another, etc, etc>

Done adding key word.
Then click on Title Key word again, and the Shows will be listed.

Highlight each show, press thumbs down twice. This puts each show in parentheses.

Done with Title key words > done with Creating Wish List.> Continue > Auto record.

"View upcoming programs" if desired.
The folder will automatically be named, but I believe you can edit, and name the folder to you liking.

Good luck.

The folder name can (indirectly) be edited. It gets the name of the wishlist and you can edit that.

(I haven't testing what happens if you rename a wishlist after the folder is created. That might do something odd; so probably best to edit the name before it starts accumulating shows)
That worked!! Thank you so much!!!!! Now if "Play All" could randomize, that would be GREAT!!
Why the heck do you want to mix all of those shows in one folder?

Plus, do you realize that you're missing MANY minutes of shows when watching reruns? They cut out MINUTES of each show for more commercials, compared to the original airing.

I've done it. No harm. You can edit the WL all you like, including the name or the qualifiers (eg, Title Keyword). It will continue to record into the same Folder. That's how I create a "Movies" folder. I put the title in the WL, record it, then change to the next movie I want to add.

The only thing you DON'T want to do is remove "Auto-record", or what we call ARWL. Once removed, every recording gets immediately dumped into the Now Playing list, one by one. And even resetting ARWL will NOT move them back into the folder.
Deleting, then restoring a programme will put it back in the folder,
at least on the UK Virgin Media TiVo, which is effectively a premiere.
