The wife says I can buy an Elite. :D She read we can stream shows to the PreimereXL solving the copy protection issue. My ?, anyone streaming using wireless N?? How is it working? If "N" is not strong enough I am afraid the Elite would make a quick return to Tivo (or Amazon if the price is right). Thanks for any input

You should be able to stream between any two Premieres once the feature is activated

As for wireless, it depends a lot on the quality and speed of your wireless . N *probably* should be fast enough but results vary a lot.

You could always get MoCA (ethernet over your existing cable lines) which is very fast and reliable.

Or you could us a powernet adapter, that uses your home electrical wiring via an outlet, as the cable.

With the TiVo N adapters and a Netgear N router (3700 V1) the MRS works great for my family.
I can stream over 'N' between my downstairs Elite and Premier, but is a little choppy upstairs. I've ordered a couple of Moca adapters to see if I can get them to work. It's a long cable run with Bi-Di splitters and an amplifier between the TiVos and the router. We'll see ...
N works fine but it depends on the signal strength

MoCA is pretty splitter tolerant but it can't go through an amplified splitter. You can connect two output nodes on an amplified splitter, but I'm not aware of any amps that allow you to connect devices on the input and output sides of an amp.
