Hi,

I have wireless broadband through verizon wireless. It's a wireless USB modem hooked into my computer. It looks like if you have a wireless network that blankets your entire house, you can use the TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter. Since the wireless network isnt blanketed throughout my house, is there another way of getting my tivo updates without a phoneline?

You need to use your computer as a proxy and connect the TiVo through it, with its normal network adapter (wired or wireless).

how do you do that (in english, lol)?
You didnt mention if you had a PC or a notebook.

1. If you have a notebook, with WIFI, you can enable connection sharing, and have your tivo connect to it.

How do I setup an ad-hoc (peer to peer) wireless network? (#12556)

2. Most computers nowadays have an ethernet jack. A simple solution is to buy a standalone wifi router (Linksys / Buffalo etc), and a ethernet cable from your computer into the router.

Then have your 'tivo' connect to that wifi router, which is connected to your PC.
