Am I the only one having this happen?

All of a sudden WMP doesn't work any more on .tivo files.

It loads the selected show and you see about a half of a second of it and then it quits.

Is this another one of those expired certificate things?

This particular PC is running Windows 7.

Previously, as in a few days ago, it was working fine--I use it to check the quality of show copies I make with TiVo Desktop, but now it's not even working on files created back when it was working.

But .tivo files that it played just fine a week or two ago are also affected, so I'm thinking the problem is external to them.

Guess what? A reboot of the PC seems to have fixed it.

I'm guessing it was a RAM shortage since apparently people who write web browsers *still* don't care about memory leakage.

have you tried chromium based microsoft edge? i've had very good results, using it for almost a year now (beta).
