Nobody knows. The end.
They are also probably really busy now with the horrible HDUI lockup bug...
Nobody knows. The end.I know its built into 14.8, but I wonder when it will be introduced.
Someone mentioned they were pushing people to 14.8U2 to address the lockups. No idea if it's true or not. If so I guess I got lucky with that since my Premieres never went to 14.8 and stayed with 14.8U2. I have not had any lockups with 14.8U2.Nobody knows. The end.

It's true, my TiVo downloaded and installed 14.8.U2 tonight.Someone mentioned they were pushing people to 14.8U2 to address the lockups. No idea if it's true or not. Tivo has promised to support streaming in the Amazon app (i.e. Prime members get access to a streaming library similar in concept to Netflix). They have not given a date yet but this would be a prerequisite.I know its built into 14.8, but I wonder when it will be introduced.
Also wonder if it will be only for the MSO's. Or if it will be available for units purchased at retail.
I've not heard anything like that. Do you have a link?Tivo has promised to support streaming in the Amazon app...
I got the 14.8U2 on my Premieres, and they have locked up. They were very stable until 14.8. Hope it gets addressed soon.Someone mentioned they were pushing people to 14.8U2 to address the lockups. I believe it was mentioned on the TiVo facebook page so I wouldn't really take it as official until we see the update.I've not heard anything like that. Do you have a link?
Correct, but the Moxi is a dead man walking - Arris bought out Digeo for the IP to use in their cable industry products, not retail. No new updates have been released for it since shortly after the purchase was made over a year ago. I wouldn't invest any serious coin in a Moxi, but you might be able to snag one on fleabay for cheap.I'm on the fence about returning to the TiVo branded world. Might buy a Moxi 3 tuner and Moxi mate. As that would create a true whole home solution. As Moxi supports streams over transfer. Which I assume would allow you to watch shows on either box even if the copy once flag is activated. Correct?
Amazon streaming has nothing to do with streaming recorded shows. TiVo already supports streaming in the Netflix app. It's not a generic streaming feature that TiVo added support for recently. It was streaming of items in the now playing list. Adding Amazon streaming is not related.Tivo has promised to support streaming in the Amazon app (i.e. Prime members get access to a streaming library similar in concept to Netflix).
