Will Elite Transfer Unprotected Shows to Wired Networked S3 Units

I am still researching whether I should buy a new Elite or buy a new 1TB hard drive for one of my S3 units. I have 3 S3 units that are connected via Cat5 cable to the home network. I do alot of transfer of unprotected shows between S3 units. If I hang a new Elite unit off the network, will I be able to transfer unprotected shows back and forth between the Elite unit and the remaining 2 S3 units??
