Why wouldn't it play?

I've had this happen before when telling the Roamio to record a show. I select a show and then it never comes up, and I see the list of shows again. When the details about the show, and where i tell the Roamio to record, are supposed to come up, all I get is a blank screen and what looks like a rotating circle, except it's not a solid circle.

This actually happened when I was trying to watch a show. I ended up getting the list of shows to watch back. I went in the kitchen one of the time and the details about the show were there when I got back, and I could tell the show to play.
