I noticed TiVo's introduced an HD Recordings folder in the Now Playing list, which I don't like. How can I make it disappear?

It wouldn't be so bad if that were the only place the HD recordings appeared in, but they appear both as a Now Playing list item and as an item in the folder.

I mean, complaining about a FOLDER?!?!?!?

If the only thing I had to complain about my old Comcast DVR was the crappy folder structure then I might just still have it.

I'm not belittling your post. Just the opposite. TiVo works so well that these little things bug us. Half the time my Comcast DVR didn't even work, so the little things didn't really matter much.

The more annoying part is that the TiVoCasts get put into a folder .. each in their own folder... even when there is only 1.

I like the HD folder because it quickly shows me the stuff that is most likely taking up the most hard drive space.
Exactly what i use it for!

(it's also kind of interesting to see only what is HD sometimes, like if i want ot see a movie and this makes sure we pick only an HD one.)

Exactly....so do I. But, of course, with a 750GB internal Seagate DB35 in my S3 that's really a non-issue :D

Not quite sure why it's such a big deal - it's always next-to-last (isn't it?), so mostly you can just ignore it.

But then again I think it's useful, because I really enjoy watching HD. Sometimes I'll look there first for something interesting to watch.

Hey, that's one of the new and improved features Tivo thought we simply couldn't live without.
I like the "season pass" folders but not the HD folder or Amazon folder. It would also be great to put the 6 HD Star Wars movies into a separate folder. I originally had a "wishlist" folder for these movies, but it dissapeared when I deleted "Star Wars" from my wishlist. I am not sure why.

I wish they had an SD recordings folder. 95% of what I record is HD so an HD folder is pointless. They should have an HD folder, an SD folder and the ability to turn them on and off.

I ignore the HD folder totally. Other than maybe once or twice when it first appeared, I never use it or click on it. But I can't get rid of it, as Folders are an essential part of my Now Playing list. Without folders, NP would be a gosh-awful mess.

Once they moved it to the bottom, it became a non-issue. It was a minor PITA when it floated around.

I also don't use Suggestions, and I can see how someone who does could find the HD Folder handy.

DOH!! Good reference . . . I wish I would have seen that before deleting the wishlist, especially since I will likely keep the Star Wars movies forever. . . or at least until they broadcast the 6 Star Wars movies on HBOHD again. In any case, it doesn't seem like Tivo thought this one through. :(
