I enjoy her stand up as well, but none of the critics I follow have anything nice to say about her new show.
The eye-candy may be enough. I love my willowy brunette's.

What reviews? I just did a search and only come up with The Futon Critic, which was back in May. Too early a review IMO.

I like her and will definitely watch. Helps that she's following The Office.
I first heard of her on the Howard Stern show. She was in some "hottest female comic" contest. She came in second. I've always thought she seemed pretty funny on Stern. They've had a lot of ads for her new show. I will definitely give the show a try.
I swear they've been promoting this show since March! I'll give it a try.

People who have seen the upfronts. She is co-creator of Two Broke Girls on CBS which I've heard is better.
She's not that funny as comics go but yeah the hawtness factor helps alot.

I hope it bombs just for the fact Howard will take credit for her success. Even though he got her after she killed on the roasts he thinks he's a big part of her success.

The Television Critics Association has an annual event in August where all the networks come and promote all their shows and usually show most/all the pilots. I don't think any critic has actually published a review yet, but the early thoughts I've seen on Twitter as well as stuff I've heard on podcasts hasn't been encouraging. I think a large part of the reason is that Whitney is a traditional sitcom that doesn't fit in with the non-traditional sitcoms that NBC airs on Thursday nights. However, that's the type of thing a critic may notice and the general public may not, so we'll see.

That's where I first heard about her, and she is doing Howard Stern specific commercials on his channel so I don't think she really cares.

She probably got a lot bigger boost from Chelsea Handler than she did from Howard Stern.

I'm not sure about that timeline.

So did I.

Seriously? She's f'ing hilarious!

I think of her as the female Dane Cook. Moderately talented but whose looks makes up for it. In other words she doesn't have to worry about other comics stealing material. But millions of people apparently like Dane so she just might have a future in this show.
I've seen her on some comedy central roasts. Got the SP set for her show.

First time I heard of her was on Stern. I never watch any of the roasts. So, if Stern didn't play her clips from the roasts, I again wouldn't know of her.

Stern obviously can't take all the credit for her success, but he's definitely given her career a boost.
I have never heard of her until seeing her name mentioned here in the Charlie Sheen Roast thread. I found a clip on Comedy Central from the Joan Rivers Roast, she is pretty funny.
