As the title says I want to initiate badblocks against the partition which houses the database. I didn't want to spend time running it across the entire disc.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately I left fsfix running for a long time and it killed the drive completely

Luckily I have my unmodified 40gb original drive which I will use to do a fresh upgrade and start from scratch. It really pisses me off that I lost all of my hacks and settings
