I have an HR10-250, upgraded with 2x250 and hacked with all the wonderful things from the past (and present - thanks for Zipper!). It's recently started rebooting multiple times in an evening. I replaced the power supply about 3 months ago, so I don't think that's the problem.
I've looked at the kernel logs and what stands out is
Tmk Fatal Error: Thread Mediaswitch0 <182> died due to signal 0
(sometimes Mediaswitch0 sometimes 1). I think this indicates a disc error or am I completely on the wrong track? The drives are about 3 years old, so I wouldn't be surprised.
I've ordered a 500GB Seagate Ultra ATA from amazon - with this, and Instant Cake, I hope to be back up (and stable) soon.
I had frozen my HR10's at 3.1, so I have no experience with 6.3 - is 6.3d (what pvrupgrade offers) stable? Or should I stick with the devil I know? Whats's the difference in the standard and special editions? They're the same price.
Thanks for any feedback - you all have been a very valuable resource the past few years.
