Was just curious, when I turn on my tv, my Bolt will have a channel on. What logic does it use to choose a channel to display first? Does Tivo choose channels when I'm not watching based on its own reasons? (like showing higher ratings for certain shows/events)

It will have the same channel it was on when you turned it off unless it needed that tuner to record a program and other tuners were busy during the recording. IOW, it won't change tuners out of boredom. If the unit has performed a restart all tuners will be on the channel in use before the restart. If a Mini goes to that channel, and then changes to a channel not previous used, that changes the channel also.
