when they increase MSD discount?

TiVo changed the pricing scheme a month or two after the Premiere was released. They got rid of the yearly plans and now only have the option for monthly or lifetime. TiVo only changed the subscription price on the Premiere.


The MSD rate is $9.95. Non MSD rate is $12.95.

For a Premiere, the rates are $14.95 for MSD and $19.95 for non MSD.

Lifetime rate is the same for all Tivos, $399 MSD or $499 non MSD.

wow that sucks....when's the last time anybody was able to get a better deal on LT? I thought they dropped that too to $399.00 for a period of time?

You have to commit for a year when you activate the Tivo, so you would have to pay a total of $119.40 for the first year at the $9.95 monthly rate. You could probably find a used S2 on line with lifetime service for close to that amount.

They raised it back up by $100 when they dropped the price of the Premier by $100.
