When my Series3 "dies" will I have options to give it new life?

I am not an anywhere near the expert on this stuff you all are. I have lifetime on my Series 3. When it dies will I be able to pay to have a new hard drive and still keep the lifetime going?

Also, I'm sure this information is on this vast site somewhere so just a link would be appreciated as well.

Yes - there are several 3rd party companies that do HD upgrades and even repair (Weaknees, PTVUpgrade, DigitalRecorder are some)

TiVo also services many units out of warranty.
