When I move, will TiVo remember my Season Passes?

I'll be moving and re-running Guided Setup. Should I write down my Season Passes before I move, or will they stay in effect?

It would be impressive if TiVo could find my programs on their new channels, but that sounds like a tall order.

It shouldn't have a problem at all.

Should it really work? Will the TiVo keep and remember that "Law & Order" is on NBC channel 11 in current line up, and simply remap NBC to the new channel number in another city?

Cable channels will work like that, but not the local network affiliates. Those are labeled by their call letters. So even though NBC is on channel 11 in both Minneapolis (KARE) and in Fargo (KVLY), if I moved to Fargo I'd have to get new season passes for NBC shows.

That's what it did for me when I've moved.

Another reason to use wishlists. :)
Do save to VCR or DVD your Season Pass manager. Better safe than sorry.

Of course, there is always pen and paper.

Use wishlists just in case you decide to move???

Use wishlists because they are better. :)

(For me, I have multiple stations that might carry any particular show. Wishlists work better.)

They may work better sometimes, but are not better in most situations. It depends on what you need.
Why not leave your season passes as they are. After you move, take the local channels and create new season passes, move them to right above/below the old one. Then delete the old one. Then you can do this for each show you have listed on a local affiliate. That way you don't need to write down the list.

This is pretty much what I did when I moved cross the country. Most of my SPs didn't transfer since I was moving from the Pacific feed to the East Coast feed, but the SPs won't just disappear.

Not neccesarily. Sometimes I want an ongoing series on a certain channel (including a few reruns as filler), but I don't want hundreds of reruns on a different channel. Or unrelated shows that happen to match my ARWL.
