Is it a contest to see who's the coolest kid in school with the latest leakage information?

If i was a kid in school, I don't think I would want to have leakage issues. I don't think that would make me cool.

I don't know who Bob is, but I've thought Malcontent must work for some viral marketing firm for a while now. About half the threads he starts are about leakage.

Mine is related to too much Olestra.
Beaten to the punch again.
Yeah I think a few months back there were bold comments that the networks were going to crackdown on this stuff. Although it has been BLATANTLY obvious that they were always done intentionally.

Every time I see a new leaked thread I laugh, because I know the networks are doing this. It is funnier they are doing it now more than ever.

New shows will likely suck, so I am just waiting. The first year leakers were on the net, I watched a few and was not very entertained. So I am not interested in being a sneak previewer then hopefully encouraging others to watch the show, which is the goal.

Ask yourself why only some shows are leaked in advance. Do you think the first episode of the Office will be leaked before it is aired?

3rd Grader: Hey look everybody, Billy peed his pants.
Billy Madison: Of course I peed my pants, everyone my age pees their pants. It's the coolest.
3rd Grader: Really?
Billy Madison: YES. You ain't cool, unless you pee your pants.
3rd Grader: Hey look, Ernie peed his pants too. Alright!
Old Farm Lady: If peeing in your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis.
Billy Madison: OOH. That is the grossest thing I've ever heard in my life. Let's Go.
I'm waiting for the Journeyman leak to see if it's gonna be worth watching in the fall. Pushing Daisies looks interesting, too.
it happens every year usually right around the time that the networks have there meetings the television critics association
<--- late to the game as usual

Can someone point me to an example of this kind of 'leakage' thread?

(oh, and am I the only one sick of the term "viral marketing"? :p )

Use the "Forum Search" the one the toolbar that is just for this forum not the general search. And put in Leaked.

You should get a handful of relevant threads.

There also a couple on the front page when I just looked that have "Leaked" in them.
I really don't want to see the leaked shows myself. I'll wait to see them when they were suppose to air originally.
i'll 3rd the olestra...but i found this clear and convincing FAQ evidence to the contrary

No, eating Olean snacks will not cause "anal leakage." Olestra went through 25 years of research before being approved by the FDA. During this time, as with any development process, olestra was continually evaluated and improved. While some people did experience oil loss with the very early forms of olestra, it was addressed and corrected before FDA approval. Olestra is manufactured to a FDA required specification to control oil loss.
- commonly asked questions: anal leakage, www.olestra.com, Proctor & Gamble, 1998

Ok, i wanna talk to the guy who's job it was to monitor how much someones butt did/didnt leak and see how you tally those results!

and there is a spec on how much oil loss is ok? wow the govt sure got their asses covered on this front....or is it rear?

I see it as an opportunity to help me decide new shows I might want to watch in the fall. I'd rather have the time now to be better informed than wait until I want to record 10 new things - time I don't have.

It's not like you're being spoiled or anything, just seeing it a few weeks earlier than intended. Additionally, you don't even have to FF through the commercials as there are none. If anything were lacking at all, its' the fact that the programs are not in HD.
