What's the buzz on The River?

I've seen a few promos for this (or maybe the same one over and over) and it has me intrigued. The story looks interesting, but I'm not sure how tenable it is long term. It comes off more as a mini series or movies, not a series. I guess comparisons to Lost and complaints about shaky cam will be inevitable. Neither would bother me. I love stories about the Amazon. Hopefully it won't be too scary as I'm a big chicken.
