What new Fall 2007 shows are you planning to watch/record?

So we've got threads for which shows you think will be canceled, and which shows you've already deleted your SP for, but what about shows you plan to watch and actually want them to do well?

Those that I've set up SP's for are:

Kid Nation
Back to You
Chuck
Journeyman
Cane
Bionic Woman
Life
Pushing Daisies
Private Practice
Dirty Sexy Money
Big Shots
Viva Laughlin

I have no intention of actually watching all of these shows, as I'm fairly certain many of these won't last, but these are the ones that I'm recording and will hopefully watch at least the first episode. However, I may look at reviews and ratings and hold off watching some of these if it doesn't look like they're going to make it.

Bionic Woman and The Sarah Connor Chronicles are the only new shows I'm planning to try out.

When/Where is The Sarah Connor Chronicles airing? Haven't seen anything about that.
Chuck (saw the pilot on the free preview DVD from Blockbuster, I like it)
Bionic Woman
Journeyman
Life
and some others that I can't remember right at this moment.

Any new sci-fi, time travel, paranormal and any with pretty girls, that is always how to select. You need to add Christina Applegate's new show to your lists too --Samatha Who. Not on for a few weeks. Big Bang theory also, to have smart geeks AND pretty girl, a really good deal, watch that one. Anything not in HD DON'T watch, get it cancelled. I can't believe Survivor is not HD in 2008 season, just one year from all HDTV.

sorry everything will not be in HD in one year from now. I think you are thinking of the transfer over to DTV (Digital Television) that is going to happen. But their is no requirement for everything to be in HD. DTV and HDTV are 2 different things. All HDTV is DTV but not all DTV is HDTV.

there are 3 different types of DTV. Standard Definition Television (SDTV), Enhanced Definition Television (EDTV) and High Definition Television (HDTV)

Basically once the switch happens everything will be digital but not everything will be HD.

Sorry to go slightly off topic but so many people are so confused about the Digital tv switch over that I just always feel like i have to try to explain it to them.
I will be certainly correct to say once all is digital, every new NETWORK show will be HD. If any exceptions it would have to be really awful networks like MyTV. That means re-runs of old shows not HD will also have low value, so why do that? All ought to be HD right now, so as to have resale value in a few years.
Pushing Daisies
Chuck
Big Bang Theory
Reaper
Journeyman
Life
Dirty Sexy Money

Those are the only new ones I plan to watch.
Don't forget, and I lived thru it, in 1968 when color finally arrived. It had existed since 1954 but most locals did not have the equipment to transmit a color network show. Once they did, in 1968, go find how many NEW network shows then continued to use black and white after 1968? It will be the same once digital in 2009.

Just as B&W reruns lasted a while in the afternoons and such, they died away, and so will programs made in SD as re-runs at odd times once we are digital. In the color case, the local news was the last to get color, we will see if it is again the last to switch to HD.

Likely true for some places, but one of my local stations said (via writing on the screen) that their news was in HD.

I think you'll be surprised. There are certain shows that just don't work for HD, and Survivor is a perfect example. They have thousands of hours of footage they put together for each episode, and having the storage capacity do do that in HD just isn't practical right now.

Besides, I'll bet that less than half the country has HD sets, so it's not that pressing.

January on Fox.

Cancelled the same month, I'm sure. :)
