I have a Series-2 and a Series-3 on one TV. The TV needs to go in for repair for a week or so. Will the TiVos continue to record or does it somehow know that there is no TV?

A TV is just a monitor. The Tivo does not record off of the TV.

make sure you have the space to record all the stuff you want. you might also want to use Tivodesktop to manage the s2 space and make sure you check your upcoming recordings so you don't record stuff you don't want and replace stuff you do want to watch.

He could TTG recordings to his 'puter before they get deleted to make room for more recordings.
