It was a Funny or Die internet short, depicting a fake trailer for (at that time) a non-existent movie.

This Roku movie is making that non-existent movie real.

In fact, the "fake" FOD movie is written and directed by Eric Appel. And so is the Roku version. So it sounds like the same guy who came up with the idea for the fake trailer ended up getting funding to make the real thing.

Yes, he says that a lot. He's been screwed out of a song once where the artist wanted it, but the label objected so he stopped working on the song - I think it was later released as part of Squeeze Box or something because the artist finally convinced the label to approve it.

According to the Wikipedia article for "You're Pitiful," the label still has never agreed to it, which is why it's only been released as a free online song.
