I just replaced an old Panasonic plasma with a new LG OLED in my bedroom where I have. TiVo Mini connected to a Roamio in the living room.

So it looks good, the upscaling. But certain UI sounds are gone while others remain. For instance when I go to My Shows, it doesn’t chime. But when I press to go back to Live TV, it beeps as normal.

What is most noticeable is when I play a recording and use the skips to go past commercials. No beep after each press of the skip button on the remote. I’m so used to that sound feedback.

Almost seems random that some UI sounds have disappeared but others remain.

Only thing I can think of is that the installer reprogrammed my remote to control the volume and power of the new TV and he may have inadvertently changed some settings?

But when I check, the only options for interface sounds is in the Audio & Video Settings where you can change the Sound Effects volume where it’s set to Medium.

Has anyone else seen this, where some UI sounds are gone, others remain, whether after a TV switch or on the same TV?

Hmm, okay so I don't have the TV connected to a surround sound system, since it's the bedroom.

May look into a sound bar though. If I put it to PCM, it won't output DD or Atmos to sound bars or a surround sound speaker system?

It's a situation that you have to decide what's right for you. The beep / boops or Dolby digital. Sadly we can't have both :(

Hmm, well I don't have my bedroom TV connected to a sound system anyways.

The TV has something in one of the menus about Dolby Atmos but I doubt it's outputting Atmos through the built-in speakers.
