Those are quite noisy. I would use with a Tivo unless it's well hidden and insulated.Dr_Diablo said:Buy.com has the 1TB sata external drives for $199.00

Best Buy has 20% off all WD HD's starting this Sunday, which should put the 1TB at ~$280.AbMagFab said:Those are quite noisy. I would use with a Tivo unless it's well hidden and insulated.
So anyone seen/know if the WD 1TB internal going on sale this weekend?
Great! So how do you get this info so early?flightrisk said:Best Buy has 20% off all WD HD's starting this Sunday, which should put the 1TB at ~$280.
Cavalry Storage brings you a 1 TB Dual Bay External Drive Solution with USB 2.0 Plug & Play. The cooling fan with On/Off switch help dissipates the heat. The solution is available in 2 configurations, BIG and JBOD. With the BIG configuration, it has twice the capacity of a single drive by combining two 500GB drives into one. With the JBOD configuration, it sees itself as two separate 500GB drives. The solution is Vista Compatible.Amnesia said:The link is to 2 500GB drives, not a 1TB drive.
Which is useless for a Tivo. And with 1TB *single* drives so cheap now, why would anyone want a dual-500? That gives you have the effective MTBF, which is a bad thing with hard drives and data.Dr_Diablo said:Cavalry Storage brings you a 1 TB Dual Bay External Drive Solution with USB 2.0 Plug & Play.
