Looking for an 80-hour Philips Series 2 Dual Tuner DIRECTV Tivo R30180.

Would be happy with a different model as well, as long as it's dual, 80 hours and seamlessly compatible with DIRECTV.

Anyone know a reliable source from which I can buy one?

eBay is probably your best bet. You can still buy Series 2 DirecTivos from folks like http://www.weaknees.com, but they're expensive.

If you buy a used DirecTV DVR, just be sure to get the "Receiver ID Number" from the seller to verify that DVR's subscription status with DirecTV before you buy. A reputable seller will have no problems providing that information. If the DVR has unpaid fees, then DirecTV might not let you activate it on your own account.

If you get the one from CC It is a lease and you have to give it back If you quit D* However if you get one from ebay it is owned and you can resell it.

I cant believe CC Has new ones for sale. BTW It is not the 80 hr unit
I did not know about the lease thing. Did not mean to mislead. I was just looking for the TiVo HD at CC's site and that came up. Then I sent the link for a hard drive upgrade from weaknees to get her larger capacity.

I don't believe Circuit City actually has any available. I checked all the local stores in my area and it says 'not available'

Don't forget to check your local Craig's list. They're often better than eBay because you don't have to deal with shipping.

You mean hes the one making Bootleg Copies and selling them on EBay?

:D

EBay would be your best bet for getting a unit. Just follow the advice from litzdog911.
