And what the hell happened to Melanie Griffith, someone needs to let her know its over and to stay indoors. She looks like she had some plastic surgery that went poorly.

At least she let some air out of her lips.

And with all the Brits and Aussies faking English accents this year ( Journeyman,Bionic Woman, Moonlight, Life, Pushing Daisies, and more to come ) Lloyd Owen on this show has got to be the worst.

And the singing is bad enough, but karaoke singing??

I found this to be jaw-droppingly bad. And then, when Melanie Griffith came on, I threw up a little. {shudder}

On the upside, the chances of Eric Winter's character on Brothers & Sisters returning from Malaysia sooner than expected just went up. Way up.

This is the lamest musical I have ever seen. The cast sings OVER existing pop music? I could understand the show utilizing existing lyrics and music, but just pulling something off of iTunes and having them sing over it? Wow, that's bad!

Which one was Melanie Griffith? She must really look bad. I didn't even recognize her.

I loved Lloyd Owen on Monarch of the Glen, and I've seen Viva Rockpool, on which Viva Laughlin is (loosely) based. I was so looking forward to it, and it sucked! Big time! Even Hugh Jackman couldn't save it. (I wonder if he's going to be a regular, considering his character is Ripley's main rival?) I'm going to give it one more episode to see if it gets better. If not - bye bye.

Didn't realize it was a musical. Instant delete for me. I HATE singing in television shows and movies.

I wish this was on same network as Cavemen. Then they could have an awesome cross-over episode where the cavemen go to Laughlin.

Is it me, or did they dub over the leading guy's voice (Lloyd Owen) with the guy who play's Stark on Eureka (Ed Quinn)? I'm really good at matching voices, and it did seem like the wrong voice for that guy.

This set a new personal record for how fast I can stop watching a pilot, cancel the season pass and delete something from the recently deleted folder. 23 minutes. I would be all for a musical, but if you are gonna do something like that, put in some effort. Lets walk around, snap our fingers and add lip synching with a few swinging legs. An utter disaster.

I am also not one to ever criticize someone's physical appearance, but that old thing (not sure who it was, but you all say Melanie Griffith) was completely disgusting. HD never looked so bad!

Wow.. this was about as uneven as they come, it has trainwreck written all over it in my book.

I liked most of the characters, really liked seeing Madchen Amick, I wasn't fond of the cop continuing to play "non-cop" once was fine, after that it's entrapment I didn't even mind the singing, I vote it as "interesting, might watch again" but I would have loved to see Hugh Jackman lose the accent and speak in his own voice, it wouldn't have taken anything away from the plot (not everyone can nail it like Hugh Laurie..)

What did I not like? Melanie Griffith.. wow.. who told her that outfit was ok? I mean we all age, and I'm as guilty as the next woman in covering a few blemishes and wrinkles, but those scenes where her face was all smooth and her chest was dry, wrinkled, and covered in liver spots.. to repeat.. wow.. bad choice.

why would teacher back off? doesnt make sense.

delete the singing and ill still watch...or at least dont add more singing.

I'm also surprised that the cast is singing with the original songs. It seems to me they'd save more money on music clearance by having them sing to karaoke versions of songs.

And I also agree that Lloyd Owen is the worst actor on American TV right now at covering up his British accent (with Saffron Burrows on "Boston Legal" a close second).

Interestingly enough, I'll give it a few more episodes. It's one of those "so bad it's good" for me -- so far.

Although I'm sorry to say that poor Carter Jenkins from "Surface" is on another show that isn't going to last very long. This time, not very long at all.
