For the past two weeks or so, while watching a pre-recorded shows, the video stutters and then goes to blue screen, then comes back and plays alright for a little while. I have also experienced losing some programs from the Now Playing list in the past week.

I'm wondering if I'm having hard drive failure - I have had the Series2 box for 3-4 years.

Yes, it does sound like a hard drive is going. I've always considered my hard drives on my Tivos as consumables. 3-4 years is probably average. Some people get 5, others (unfortunately) less.
