HD Camera's over coax is an entirely different signal than Composite Video.
Many Camera DVR's do have an option to change the output.
Or, there's a Spot Monitor output that might be available to use.
Depends on the Model of the DVR.

KP. THanks for the reply! Sounds like you have vastly more experience in this than me. So this is the STORY:
1. Swim coach figured out that he could connect a SD Camera to the tivo and use the remote to instantly replay the video to review the dive with the players. This was a Series 2 Tivo and an generic camera he picked up 5 years ago from walmart. It has a BNC connector and a POWER connector.
2. Camera Dies
3. Coach goes buys new HD camera (same BNC connector, same power connector). Hooks it up. Nothing.
4. Calls the tech department (me) and says he's stuck.
I took the TIVO home and verified it worked on coax and composite/RCA by using a DVD player I had laying around. I think the TIVO is still working, I think I just need to figure out how to get a video signal into it.
Any ideas on an adapter/a convertor or a camera spec I should look for? I tried to google your "spot monitor" and a bunch of medical equipment came up.
Thanks again for the help!
