I have some programs on vhs that I want to put on the Tivo hard drive.

Can this be done somehow using the video inputs on the Tivo.

Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA.

Set up the Tivo to support cable and satellite input.

hook up VCR output to Tivo input.

Record from time/channel for any satellite channel.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

I'm assuming this will be done through guided set up. It's been so long since I've done guided set up, I forgot what the options are.

Just curious, have you actually done this or know of it being done?

Thanks again.

Yes, guided setup.

I have done this/do this, except instead of recording from a VCR, I'm recording from a security camera. In my case, I uncheck all but one sat channel from the channels I receive list.
(During set up you have to say you are using IR control and just "Yes" your way through all the can you change the channel questions, even though you aren't obviously going to change the channel.)

Thanks again for you help.

ps: Successfully completed. Your instructions made it easy as pie. The hardest part was deleting all those sat channels.
