'V' has been cancelled

Not V!!!!

Meh, who didn't see it coming.. It was in the territory of "so bad, its good". Kind of hoped for a season 3 of laughable plot lines.

Bummer! At first, I was going to ask you for sources, but I found some myself.

At least it seems official this time. Right after the finale aired, some (weird) random posters in others forums were stating the cancellation as though it were fact yet they provided 0 sources, when pressed. I never found any confirmation of it back then either.

That sucks that the left the showing hanging like this. I'm not terribly surprised though since it was never doing very well in the ratings.

Not remotely surprised.

Mr. Sunshine was good for a few laughs and wish it got a 2nd season, but I knew it was too offbeat for most folks.

The rest of the shows didn't interest us at all.

Not going to miss any of those.

V was about freedom and liberty, how hollywood even produced it was surprising from the beginning.

We got an ending.

Probably because Aliens have taken over the bodies of ABC programming suits and they want to make sure that their plans of global domination aren't leaked to the human populace.

....meh.....watched it, but it was never before many other better shows....won't be missed....

Watched the first season, still have the whole second season saved up, but was never sure if I'd get around to watching it. Now I'm pretty sure I won't. I was only mildly interested after S1 (and mostly because of Laura Vandervoort).

I kinda liked Off the Map.

Brothers & Sisters I watched for a number of years but last season they piled up on me, and I lost some when the Tivo filled up, and I just never got watching again.

V was so-so, and I never picked it back up after the original 4 episodes the first season and then the really long hiatus. Detroit 187 and No Ordinary Family I was recording, but I ended up deleting the former without watching any after about 8 or 9 episodes, and my SO just deleted all of the latter because he thought we'd agreed we weren't going to bother to watch it. I was actually still on the fence... we'd watched the first 2-3 episodes and it was ok, but nothing great. I meant to try out Mr. Sunshine but forgot to record it at the start.

not surprised at all. I can totally respect how hard it must be to put together a good TV show, but this show wasn't even trying sometimes. I liked the dynamic between Erica and Anna and they way their story unfolded, but so much of the show was just riddled with either cliches, bad acting, or "safe" resolutions. I remember an incident in season one
To me, that's a cornerstone example of why the show didn't work--it was too watered down and too familiar. Meh, can't say I care if it goes away. You'd think a show that ended with such a big question mark would make people want to know what happens next. I really couldn't care less, which sucks. It could have been good if they went balls out with it.

Ok. I see what you mean.

I was still expecting some sort of continuation to the series and the "Fifth Column" to still be able to do something due to some plot twist/device (e.g. wear tinfoil hat, everybody going underground, etc.)

The only one I will miss is 'Detroit 187'. I really enjoyed it.

It was indeed "so bad it's good" at times, but to me it was almost always entertaining.

To be honest,

I quit watching V and No Ordinary Family about halfway thru the season. I liked Mr Sunshine and will miss it I guess. The other 3 shows weren't on my radar at all.

I wouldn't say that. The Bliss affected the Visitors, yet some of them still resisted Anna.

There is 2 1/2 hours of my TV schedule I now have back.

I don't see a reasonable way they could get out of that hole they had written themselves. Anna had gained total mental control over almost all of the human population and their fleet had surrounded the planet.
It was pretty much a win for the aliens all around.
