i just bought a radio shack OTA antenna and it is very cool. it pulled in about 15 channels but most of them i dont know. i get ABC,NBC, and CBS as well as others but i dont get AEHD or TNTHD or DSCHD. can i get those with OTA or do i need cable or satellite?

one more question. instead of using 2 cable cards, can i use one cable card and the ota antenna and then get some hd through the cable card and some through the ota. i am not trying to be cheap but in florida they are charging for usage not rental and if i get another two cards, it will be $17 plus the tivo monthly service charge which is more than using their dvr

AEHD, TNTHD, and DSCHD will not be broadcast OTA. Even on cable they're typically encrypted so that you need CableCARDs to decrypt them. To receive them you will need cable (and more than the very basic package) or satellite.

You'll probably pull several PBS stations via OTA as well and some subchannels of the main ones - i.e. both the analog and digital transmissions.

Depends on the type of card. One S-Card turns your TiVo into a single-tuner unit even with an OTA antenna. One M-Card (works only on TiVo HD for now) will allow you to use both tuners.
