Using an Onkyo receiver with the TiVo remote

I have an Onkyo receiver I use for all my sound and video purposes, and a Toshiba TV. I've programmed the TiVo remote to turn on the TV and receiver at the same time. However, the receiver has a separate button for turning off the receiver: "Stand By." Pressing the TV Power button on the TiVo remote will turn on both at the same time, but will only turn off the TV and keep the receiver on.

Any thoughts? I have searched without success.

I have the same problem. I have a HR10-250 HD TiVo, a Panasonic TH-42PHD7UY and an Onkyo TXSR602. I currently use an MX500 remote which works fine for me.

However, I would like to get my original TiVo remote to work as well, as a backup or for when someone other than my Wife and I are using the setup (In-laws, Parents, Babbysitter, etc...)
Sorry but the tivo remote will not give you something that oem remote doesn't have either, power toggle. You're out luck. :(
