I'm getting a new Direct TV HD box installed with a new 5 LNB dish. My question is can I still use my Tivo (Philips DSR6000R01) with the new HD box? The Tivo already has a tuner - will I need to somehow switch between the two? Or, can I use the Tivo downstream of the box and record in non-HD?

Is your TiVo also a DirecTV tuner, or is it a stand-alone TiVo with a regular TV tuner?

I think that model is a DirecTiVo, in which case it's just another DirecTV receiver that's independent of the new one. (And can't go downstream from the other one.)

It's a Direct TV Tivo, that also functions as a SAT box

You can use them alongside each other fine. You will need another line run from the dish for the HD receiver, or live with one tuner on the DVR.
