Forgive me if this has been answered already ...

I have an upgraded RCA S2. Will I need to worry about not letting the future DTiVo upgrade, discussed here in ebonovic's thread, install to my unit?

Any chance my machine will get messed up?

Exactly my concern. So we upgraded TiVo owners won't be able to take advantage of the new features?

if your upgrade is simply a larger disk, then you have nothing to worry about.
