Upgrade Bolt to Edge or second Bolt?

All,
Trying to run the numbers and upgrade factor here. Just want some suggestions.
I have a 4 tuner 1GB Bolt (Not Box) and 2 VOX Minis (1 of which isn't used that often).
Everything has been fine the past month since installing, but getting into fall season, last night we hit the first night were 3 of the 4 tuners were recording and one was in use by the Bolt to watch something else so Mini couldn't grab one. This doesn't happen often, but when prime-time comes up on a few days in the week a couple extra tuners would help.

I am with Spectrum who charges $2/mo for CableCARD. So I figure my choice is upgrading my Bolt to a new 6 Tuner EDGE for $400 (Temporarily double service charge $15 for a month before I sell Bolt) + Temp 1 month CableCard $2 before returning old one. Totaling ~$425 or so initial upgrade cost. Then selling Bolt, say $100 so total $325 to get an additional 2 tuners.

Other option is just buying another Bolt ($299) new or $100 used (Not sure how good used market really is?). Then additional $17/month for service and cable card. Which I run even with the first option pretty much after only a few months then start to surpass since I am paying for 2 boxes. If I can get one used at a cheap cost $50 or so, then it would take a little over a year and break even before starting to cost more.

Now if SiliconDust ever released their 6 Tuner Prime model, I could sell the whole setup and go to Plex DVR (Have lifetime there) with a couple tuners hooked into my Synology NAS, but that isn't happening anytime soon.

Any suggestions one way or another?
Thanks in advance.

You might want to look into getting a used Roamio to get some more tuners. Maybe set up in lieu of one of your minis.

Not a bad suggestion if the OP is looking for the cheapest option. A used Roamio Plus with lifetime service currently sells for about $250 to $300 on ebay. You'd get 6 more tuners and no monthly fee.
Not that it will matter to you or not, but TiVo Ted has said that the edge will ship with TE4 and will not be downgradeable to TE3.
Just my opinion, but I tend to stay away from the 6-tuner Tivos altogether so that I don't have to be locked into cable TV. With the 4-tuner boxes you can cancel cable (even if temporarily) and still have a working Tivo with OTA. Before I gave up on cable permanently, I used to cancel for a few months each summer and then sign back up at promotional rates.
