I have a programmable universal remote that's already programmed for my Philips Series 1 Tivo. When I get my TivoHD, will I have to reprogram the remote or will most of the codes from the S1 still work on the HD?

I know the TivoHD will have a few additional buttons I'll need to add, but will the standard functions that are common to both still work?

You will need to reprogram it. The standard functions will work, but there are definitely certian buttons that you will want, such as "ASPECT" and "LIVE TV" (which switches between tuners), "INFO" and "GUIDE" that are not on, or function differently than the S1 remote.
