"Unconnected" DirecTivo
Have replaced my old Philips DirecTivo (DSR704) with an HD unit (HR20-700). Still want to be able to play back the remaining stuff recorded on the old Philips.
I'm doing this only occasionally, with connections into my computer video card, so I only turn on the DirecTivo sporadically. Each time it goes through a lengthy process of looking for the satellites, which of course fails, since it's not connected to a dish. Eventually this times out and I can go to the menus and proceed from there.
Is there any way to bypass the satellite search when first powering up?
