TiVo Series 2 running 8.3.01-2-540
WindowsXP running TiVo Desktop 2.5.275381
TiVo account online shows features enabled, TiVo settings/info shows TiVoToGo: a,a,a
Media key matches on TiVo and on their website.

I can access the TiVo @ http:// & https:// and manually download video files.
I have to manually add the system running TiVo Desktop, but can see/share photos & music.

I have tried 192.168.0.x , and 172.17.1.x subnets w/ my Linksys router.
Networking works fine, no issues.
I have tried everything, but get the below error when I try to connect/download videos.
"There was an error while attempting to retrieve data from the selected DVR."
"The system cannot find the file specified"

I have tried on a second PC, and get the exact same error.
I have tried without XP firewall enabled on both machines.
No 3rd party firewall software is installed.
Bought a brand new Linksys router last week (old one was a few years old).

TiVo Desktop server properties shows my DVR, but lists the IP address of my router.
This can't be right??? Shouldn't it list the ip address of the DVR???

Someone PLEASE help, I've read several posts on various forums with similar problems, but haven't been able to find a solution.

Are you trying to move files from tivo onto the pc, or vice versa?

On the tivo's Now Playing List, does the bottom line list your pc?

How is the tivo hooked to your network - wired or wireless? If wireless, what model adapter are you using (and is it on Tivo's approved list?)?

Files from TiVo to PC - via Pick recordings to transfer in TiVo Desktop

No, my laptop(wireless) or desktop(wired) do NOT show up on the now playing list.

TiVo is wired, Linksys USB 200M adapter.

Everything works fine, just not the TiVo desktop software.
No Now Playing List will come up in TiVo desktop software.

Are you sure your DVR isn't configured with the same ip address as the router?

TiVo is 192.168.0.50
Router is 192.168.0.1
