I thought about doing this, so I looked at the HD channels in the Yorba Linda office and they were WORSE than D* (I know, hardly seems possible, but true).

And with SDV looming, it's really not worth it.

I can't believe I have no choices other than Netflix HD-DVD to get actual HD content.

That linked page says that there is no DVR capability if you're using UDCP CableCARD's.

Oh-oh, somebody forgot to tell tivo.

I love that they call the bi-directional "open." Nice spin. Of the choices of cablecards, UDCP is the least open because the cable company forces whatever OCAP software they want onto your box. No choices for you.
