After months of having no problems transferring shows from my TiVo (brand) Series 2 (240) box to my PC, TiVo Desktop is now now giving me the (infamous?):
Have tried all suggestions from previous threads that I could find, including:
- Rebooted everything (many times).
- Reinstalled TiVo desktop (after removing all vestiges of earlier install, including shared folders and register entries).
- Re-entered MAK.
- Turned off transfers (at Tivo Central Online) and renamed my TiVo; waited 3 hours; forced connect; (TiVoToGo entry in System information changed from a,a,a to i,i,i with no MAK available); turned on transfers; waited 3 hours (TiVoToGo entry now a,a,a again and MAK is back). This was my big hope. Still no transfers.
I can reach my TiVo from several computers on my home network on Port 80 (http):
But I cannot reach it from any computer on Port 443 (https):
Https address used to work fine.
TiVo Desktop can see my TiVo. If I go to Tivo Server Properties/Access Control I can see my TiVo box with the correct address. (And when I change the name of my Box at TiVo Central Online, it is reflected here.)
My TiVo sees my PC. I can view pictures, listen to music, and transfer files TO the TiVo.
I tried Galleon--everything else works fine, but it cannot transfer files FROM TiVo either.
Everything is on this side of my firewall, so no port blocking problems. Can access other https sites from all home computers.
Basically, my https server on the TiVo is down. I'm going to call customer service, but I'm not sanguine about my chances there...
Any suggestions about restarting that transfer server?
