A week ago I noticed that when I went into the Tivocast selection area (not the "now playing" area where programs are stored) the selections happened after a minute delay after a button was pressed. I am also noticing that no new Tivocasts have been recorded since then.

At about the same time as I started having problems with Tivocast, I replaced my Linksys wirelessG router with a Linksys wirelessN router. So I'm thinking the problems I'm having are router install related. FYI I am using a wired connection to the network.

I'm wondering how to proceed, should I reboot the Tivo?

Network-related issues are always best approached by simplifying what is in place.

If possible, I would attach the Tivo directly to your broadband link, not using anything else. If you are able to download and view a TivoCast you have identified the issue without question. If this works, then connect a PC/laptop to the "router" and go over all of the configurations properly. Most of them afford a web interface for this task.

The default settings are often just wrong enough to cause breakage.

I am sensing some blockage due to the presence of NAT or perhaps some proxy issues. Some disparity between the address being used to traverse the Internet and the address being translated through your router inside toward your Tivo.

Without any details as to the topology of your network there is not much to add.

regards,

patrick
