Having encryption enabled shouldn't prevent the TiVo box from "seeing" the adapter on the Network Settings screen.

Have you tried rebooting your TiVo, with the adapter connected?

Interesting. It was my understanding the TiVo G adapter wouldn't work with PCs due to the lack of drivers. What was it detected as? Did it actually work or was it just detected?

Why can't they just install a standard NIC card and be done with it? Or have a built in wireless connection.

Well, the Series3 and new Series2 box for China they showed at CES both had NIC cards, so in the future we may have that option (no built-in wireless, though).
