I recently had to replace one of my tivos after the old one overheated and went toes-up. The new machine is a dual tuner series 2 machine that replaced a single tuner series two machine. I have a wireless router with two tivos wirelessly connected and working fine, including the multi room viewing. I activated the new machine and went to the tivo website and named it. It is plugged into the router direct and functions independently and is able to make its daily call using its wired internet connection. At no point was I asked for any passwords or anything like the information I had to enter when I hooked up the wireless tivos (which I attribute to the fact that the new machine is wired and not wireless). The wireless tivos recognize the presence of the new machine, although after 36 hours they don't have the name of the new machine right. The new machine does not "see" either of the two wireless machines at all. What have I done wrong? Or am I just not being patient enough with the tivo service and need to wait longer?

If the old machines have software version 9.1 and the new machine hasn't been updated to it yet, then they won't be able to MRV across versions.

You can request it for the new machine faster by entering its TSN here:
http://www.tivo.com/priority/

Although it'll probably be along pretty quickly as is.

If that's not it, then go to your account and tivo.com, make sure they all show up properly, and make sure they all say "transfers ALLOWED" If not, go to the 'DVR preferences' choice on the left and enable it, wait a couple minutes, and then force a connection from *each* machine.

This sounds like you have software version 9.1 on the two wireless Tivos and 8.2 or 8.3 on the new tivo. Tivos with SW version 9.1 can only MRV to other tivos with 9.1 and tivos with older software will show up on the other tivos with an incorrect name.
