Tigeralum2001, all of our TiVo boxes that are sold with service from third party vendors can be transferred to your account with that service. All we need to have is the permission from the previous owner on that account to transfer to you. Once we have that you contact us, updated the credit card information and transfer the service to your account. The service then continues under your own account, own name.

OmeneX, if you purchased the TiVo box from the third party and they already activated the service on it, we should be able to look up the TiVo service number, check that the previous owner authorized the transfer of service and then updated the credit card and have it moved over to your account. This process shouldn't take anymore than 5 business days for it to be completed. If you are not seeing it on your account yet, I would be happy to look up the service number for you. You can private message me your TiVo service number through the Forums.tivo.com, since you are new here it will not let you PM yet.
